Our latest gathering cycle focuses on faith as an earthy, embodied thing and also looks at how scientific enquiry can deepen spirituality.
Our guest speaker for the cycle is Professor Justin Wark – physicist at the University of Oxford. In his work Professor Wark uses incredibly powerful lasers to attempt to recreate the conditions found at the heart of stars – to study the matter that is produced there with a view to potentially finding a new energy source. He will be with us in week #2 of the cycle to talk about his work and how his faith informs it.
Our own Dan Lapworth will be doing something similar in week #5 of the cycle.
Alongside these 2 gatherings will be all the other usual offerings – there should be something for everyone at some point in the cycle.
So – please do come along and explore these interesting questions with us. All welcome!
NB Please note that from the New Year we are experimenting with a slightly earlier start time of 430pm for our Sunday gatherings.Â
